About Jules

Jules Belmont has been teaching guitar lessons at Shiloh Music since 2017. As a teenager he was captivated by the rock gods of Zeppelin, Van Halen and Hendrix which led him to start performing at an early age. After high school, he completed his college education at Sarah Lawrence College, where he studied jazz performance and composition and studied abroad at Cuba's national conservatory of music, the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA). Following this immersive education he landed a notable internship at Jimi Hendrix's Electric Lady Studio in New York City.

With his diverse background, Jules now resides and works in Nashville as a guitarist, pedal steel player, musical director and composer having recorded for countless indie and major label artists. Recently he has shared the stage with artists such as Kendell Marvel, Jamey Johnson, The Brothers Osborne, Kacey Musgraves, Hayes Carll, Nellen Dryden, and Marcus King.

As a second generation player and educator with a passion for teaching, he enjoys helping his students learn music that speaks to them and has a penchant for teaching at the intermediate to advanced level. His own instrumental record is due out in 2024.
